摘要

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic, eczematous disorder withmultiple etiological factors, such as genetics, barrier dysfunction,and immune responses to environmental elements. 1,2 The immunecharacteristics of AD are Th2-dominant inflammation via the upre-gulation of Th2 cytokines (IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13) and chemokines[TARC/CCL17 and macrophage-derived chemokine (MDC)/CCL22],eosinophilia, and high levels of IgE. IL-4 and IL-13 both decreasethe expression of the epidermal barrier protein filaggrin, whichtriggers allergen sensitization and bacterial infection, resulting inthe exacerbation of skin inflammation.
