Evaluation of technical and economic performance: a comparative studybetween hybrid corn and Bt corn

The present article approaches an analysis of the yield between the hybrid maize and the Btmaize in the city of Faxinal of the Guedes-SC, during the harvest of 2010/2011. In this studyof case, the results had demonstrated the total cost of production for the hybrid maize in thevalue of R$ 2,565, 04/ha and 3.49% superior for the Bt maize with R$ 2,666, 12/ha. Thegotten profitability was of R$ 1,309, 96/ha for hybrid maize and again 12.66% superior forthe maize Bt de R$ 1,475, 88/ha. A productivity of 155 was gotten sacas/ha, for the hybridmaize against 165,68 sc/ha for the Bt maize, about 10,68 bags more for hectare or 6.89% ofthe production. The break-even point for the hybrid maize was reached with a productivity of102,60 sc/ha or 51.07% of the production, in against departure the Bt maize needed biggerproduction to reach the break-even point, with 106,64 sc/ha or 55.36% of the production.Finally, one evidenced that superiority economic technique and of the Bt maize.
