By hybridizing covalently or noncovalently fullerenes with 2D nanomaterials such as graphene, molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 ) and black phosphorus (BP), the unique properties of 2D nanomaterials can be tailored and improved, significantly extending their functionalities and applications.
