First Measurement of the 116Cd(20Ne,20O)116Sn Reaction at 15 A MeV

The NUMEN Collaboration proposes an original experimental methodto get information on the nuclear matrix elements involved in the neutrinolessdouble beta decay, exploring its connection with double chargeexchangenuclear reactions using heavy ions. The first results for the datareduction of the 116Cd(20Ne,20O)116Sn experiment at 15AMeV are presented.
