摘要

This paper is dedicated to exploring the concept of hegemony in cyberculture, based on a reading of the works of Antonio Gramsci and Ernesto Laclau (in partnership with Chantal Mouffe). Its goal is to understand contemporary forms of hegemony and their ability to produce consensus and the collaboration of dominated groups. Based on an empirical research in the community of Brazilian Permaculturists, it elaborates the idea of "hypostatized hegemony" on the computer, i.e., that computer logic elements present in the design and operation of equipments can produce a social consensus around a specific imaginary, based on the desire for abstract and purposeless performance.
