摘要

In this work, we present a research carried out with focus on similar function and where we based our analyses on the records of semiotic representation. It is a qualitative research of an interventional character developed with students of the first year of the high school of a public college at the city of Sao Luís, MA, Brazil. This work has the aim to investigate the students’ learning in the didactical style="font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;"> style="font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;">and methodological use of the functions of conversion and handling records. The research data include a survey of the corpus of research, observations of data processing in the classroom and analyzes of the activities developed in class. We observed that the students who presented a better performance are those that transited in at least two different representations of the object of study.
