A method to resolve cyclic ambiguities and increase the accuracy and the resolution in thedirection-of-arrival (DOA) estimation using the Estimation of Signal Parameters via RotationalInvariance Technique (ESPRIT)algorithm is proposed. It is based on rotating the array andsampling the received signal at multiple positions. Using this approach, the gain in accuracyand resolution is addressed as function of the mean and variance of the DOA. Simulationsresults are provided as a means of verifying this analysis.
