Letter: Hypnosis for Awake Surgery of Low-Grade Gliomas: Description of the Method and Psychological Assessment

The authors assume that hypnosis is an alternative method for performing craniotomy in comparison with an historical cohort of patients who underwent the asleep–awake–asleep method. We thank the authors for this important and interesting paper on this topic. Nevertheless, we would like to discuss an important point. As described in the Supplementary Digital Content, intravenous boli of propofol and continuous intravenous infusion of remifentanil in target control mode were used to potentialize the hypnotic trance. Unfortunately, we do not have information on the total amount of propofol and remifentanil that have been administered in both groups. Light or deep sedation can be obtained...
