Investigou-seo aproveitamento da casca do cocoverde, mediante fermenta??o semisólida,paraprodu??o de enzimas. A casca de coco foipreviamente desidratada, moída e classificada emtrês diferentes granulometrias, ou seja, 14, 28 e 32mesh Tyler. Todas as enzimas obtidas tiveram suaprodu??o máxima na faixa de 24 e 96 horas, o quecorresponde ao tempo de produ??o industrialcorrente. Cada granulometria produziu complexosenzimáticos ricos em diferentes atividades. Oestudo realizado validou a hipótese doaproveitamento do resíduo da casca do coco verdena produ??o de enzimas por Aspergillus niger. Abstract The utilization of immature coconut peel as substrate for enzyme production by solid statefermentation was investigated. The coconut peel was previously dehydrated, milled andclassified in three distinct granulometries: 14, 28 and 32 mesh Tyler. All the enzymesobtained had its maximum production in 24 to 96 hour interval, which correspond to thecurrent industrial production time. Each granulometry produced rich enzymatic complexeswith different activities. This study validates the hypothesis of benefit immature coconutpeel as raw material for enzyme production by Aspergillus niger.
