摘要

Now exhibited at Fanshawe Pioneer Village, the Dr. W. A. Jones collection came to its present location in an involved manner. As is the case with many museum exhibits, its final form was the result of much planning over several years. The story of how the exhibit came to fruition is one full of unexpected turns of events, and ably demonstrates the many steps and agencies involved in acquiring and mounting a major, well-researched exhibit. This case study will detail how the Jones collection was developed into an exhibit illustrating the role of the physician in late nineteenth-century southwestern Ontario.
