The study analyzes the correlation between wind measurement strategy and the uncertainty of wind statistic in the energy yield assessment (EYA). Firstly, the process of uncertainty origination is presented and described separately for every stage of wind energy yield assessment. An algorithm for calculating the uncertainty of wind statistic is created on that basis. The algorithm is utilized to investigate four different wind farm examples. Variety of measuring strategies is examined, with different mast number, mast height, as well as campaign duration. The attempt to evaluate the relation between measurement expense and the level of predicted uncertainty is taken. The conclusions presented at the end of this paper, may be effectively used as guidelines for wind farm developers.
