摘要

The paper presents the study of operation and performance of a small scale cogeneration plant with power of 75 kWe equipped with downdraft gasifier, gas purification system and a gas internal combustion engine. Results obtained concern the operating parameters, process efficiencies, and produced gas composition. The gasifier is suited to be fed with wood pellets, woodchips, agriculture residues feedstock and dried sewage sludge. The study focused on analyzing the impact of fuel composition, where the forest biomass were mixed with dried sludge of a given proportion. The study was supplemented by numerical calculations made using IPSEpro package. In addition, the economic feasibility of CHP installation was evaluated. The analysis is based on the total capital costs, total operating costs and revenues using two indicators the net present values (NPV) and internal rate of return (IRR). The economic effectiveness is calculated for two cases, the first when both electricity and heat will be sold and the second when it will be fully used on site supplying the gasifier with wood biomass or dried sewage sludge.
