Continuing Education of Medical Librarians Evaluation of the Association's Past Performance and Suggestions for the Future

THIS paper will attempt an evaluation of the past performance of the Medical Library Association in the programs and activities for continuing education it has sponsored or conducted in connection with its annual meetings. Excluded are certain aspects germane to the problem, such as formal university courses in medical librarianship, internships, the activities of the Committee on Standards for Medical Librarianship of the Medical Library Association, and informal study.*
