Helen Ullrich, a nutrition educator, gives as her purpose "to assist people who are not trained in nutritional sciences to identify information which will provide background knowledge based on scientific evidence." She includes some classic, but mostly recent scientific articles, as well as popular works. "Research assimilated into the standard texts has not been specifically referenced because it can be found in the numerous basic books."
