Tree architecture effect on canopy interception, throughfall and stemflow of rain water distribution process. Although its influence indirectly, vetegation aspect plays a role in soil and water conservation, especially in erosion runoff. Other effects of the power plant is absorbing water by roots that affect land drainage. Dimensions plants through tree architecture, the shape of the surface morphology of trees and affect the ability to intercept rainwater. This research was conducted in Purwodadi, in January 2014-March 2015 and were carried out during the rainy season, with observations as much as 32 times the rain. Parameters measured were stemflow, throughfall, and the architectural characteristics of the tree and leaf morphology. Observations made in some plant species of eight (8). This study in the series knowing plant species that have the potential to conserve soil and water, which can be used as one of the aspects on the restoration of degraded area. Plants were observed Sterculia cordata , Aleurites moluccana , Buchanania arborescens , Calophyllum inophyllum , Dysoxylum gaudichaudianum , Peltophorum pterocarpum , Alstonia scholaris , and Pometia pinnata . The results showed all eight species of plants, which have the greatest intercept capability of rainwater is Aleurites m oluccana with a value of 13.4% interception. Peltophorum pterocarpum value interception Dysoxylum gaudichaudianum 5.69% and 5.56%. The morphological characteristics of plants Aleurites moluccana is wide canopy with broad leaves anyway.
