Avalia??o de quatro parametros físico-químicos das águas do sistema Vigário-Campelo-Cataia na baixada campista, RJ

This study aimed to evaluate water quality and management in the Vigário-Campelo-Cataia system – comprising the Campelo Lagoon which receives water from the Paraíba do Sul River, and its artificial and natural channels, Vigário and Cataia (RJ), respectively. The investigation was conducted through periodic analyses of the following physical and chemical parameters: pH, turbidity, total dissolved solids and dissolved oxygen, in seven locations in the system, from February to December 2014, and comparison to the established limits by CONAMA Resolution 357/2005. In general, the results showed good water quality, presenting non-compliance results only in exceptional situations.
