Assembly and riveting machines offer the maximum level of safety

A manufacturer of assembly and riveting machines, Friedrich, located at Remshalden in southern Germany, has been equipping all its machines with safety components from Jokab Safety since 2002,and thereby reaching the highest safety category 4 (EN 954-1). Two safety PLCs control and supervise all safety functions in conjunction with two-hand controls, safety light-curtains, and non-contact safety sensors. This system replaces a multitude of safety relays and safety modules, resulting ni considerable cost savings with regard to material, wiring, maintenance and stock keeping.
