摘要

The new Centamax-HTC coupling from Centa Transmissions dissipates heat far more rapidly than previous Centamax products. Its novel design enables end-users to specify a rubber flexible coupling on applications subject to high levels of vibration, such as diesel engine driven generator sets, compressors and the like, without incurring the damaging effects of heat concentration at the centre of the coupling element. The new product effectively combines two flexible couplings in a single element. Each part of this dual rubber element is narrower, allowing increased airflow through the coupling and thus improved heat dissipation. With reduced operating temperature comes increased coupling life and in many cases, Centa believes that it is also possible to replace a bulky coupling with a smaller, less stiff coupling with a higher heat capacity like the Centamax-HTC and achieve cost savings.
