Labelling in industry creates a basic but important interface between man and machine. It affects not only the usability of the product, but also the end-user's image of their supplier. However, many companies are not fully equipped to produce labels cost effectively and within a reasonable time-scale; those who are prepared to cut corners in this area could see their production and delivery schedules compromised, and face quality issues into the bargain. Professional cable marking can bring great benefits. Even at the domestic level, being able to distinguish your printer power plug from that of your PC, or your game console HDMI cable from that of your DVD player can be a bonus when connecting them all up in a confined space! In industry, however, accurate and detailed labelling is a must. Be it a wire, a conduit, a service, pushbuttons, rating plates or whatever, accurate and clear labelling is absolutely essential.
