Achieving acoustic and vibration comfort

Of utmost importance to Fiat's field testing activities is the implementation of repeatable and time-effective testing procedures, which form part of a dedicated Fiat/LMS automation project. The aim of this project is to limit the interaction between driver and the test system during field testing, allowing drivers to concentrate more on the track ahead. Standardised setup parameters, attribute publishing, instant data quality feedback and the automated software interface to help test drivers to set up the system and perform measurements automatically. On nearing the end of a proving ground test, a single click on a button is enough to conclude the measurement, to save results and generate all required post-processing.
