FACING UP to the Security Challenge: Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and Registered Traveler (RT)

In the wake of 9/11, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is moving ahead with TWIC and RT programs that will expedite security screening and ensure safe operations. Biometric technology, key to both programs, will impact travelers and transporters as well as industry stakeholders in the months ahead as new phases are implemented.
