A Tribute to Truck Drivers

As this issue of the DTJ went to press, the 2008 National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC) were being held at the George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, as part of National Truck Drivers Appreciation Week [August 19-23, 2008]. Even though you'll receive your copy of the DTJ almost one month after that event, please join me in paying a tribute to all our truck drivers! rnIt is hard to imagine a world without trucks! But sometimes we take them for granted-including the professionals who make a living behind the wheel. Approxi- rnmately 3.9 million miles of roads and streets criss-cross our great nation with more than 3.5 million truck drivers delivering the goods every day.
