The End of Osama bin Laden

I'm writing this editorial the day after the news of Osama bin-Laden's death during a successful raid carried out by US Navy Seals. Though his demise is symbolic on so many levels, the reality is that his impact on world events will continue to be felt for years to come. Arguably, the transportation industry in general and the Defense Transportation System (DTS) in particular, have been transformed since September 11, 2001, not necessarily for the better.
