We live in an increasingly complex world with growing uncertainty and risk. When natural disasters, epidemics or acts of war occur, the 140,000-strong USTRANSCOM stands ready and capable to answer Americas call. Since its inception in 1987, USTRANSCOM has moved our forces and their equipment to and from the fight around the clock and globe. This total force team of active duty, Guard, Reserve, civilians, commercial transportation partners and other contractors operate a robust joint deployment and distribution enterprise that delivers the Nation's objectives worldwide.
