German Army Armament Planning

摘要

The German Army faced the Herculean task of providing twelve Army divisions for NATO within three years. Against the backdrop that, after World War II the Federal Republic of Germany had no military materiel of its own -which could have been used for establishing the Army in 1956 - equipping the rapidly growing major formations posed a particular challenge to German Army armament planning. Thanks to our integration into NATO and the helpfulness of our allies we managed to carry out this huge task.
