RAYTHEON TO KEEP PRODUCING U.S. NAVY MULTIBAND TERMINAL FOR SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS

The goal for the U.S. Navy Multi-band Terminal (NMT) program is to create a military satellitecommunications system that consolidates capabilities of current and future satellite systems into a single terminal, anddevelops terminal communications capabilities that will counter all current and projected threats to satellite operationsenabling communications in all environments. The system replenishes and improves on the terminal capabilities of theNavy's Military Strategic, Tactical and Relay (Milstar) satellite system; Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS);Wideband Global Satellites (WGS); and Global Broadcast Service (GBS).
