U.S. ARMY'S ROBOTIC COMBAT VEHICLE MOVES FORWARD WITH MULTIPLE VARIANTS

The U.S. Army's Robotic Combat Vehicle is a planned family of unmanned ground vehicles that fall underthe NGCV umbrella. The service currently envisions operating vehicles in three weight classes: light vehicles, weighing lessthan 10 tons; medium vehicles, weighing between 10 and 20 tons; and heavy vehicles that could weigh between 20 and 30tons. Respectively, these three classes would be air-transportable via helicopter and C-130, and C-17 aircraft.
