NORTHROP GRUMMAN AWARDED $64M TO SUPPORT U.S. NAVY BAMS-D SURVEILLANCE UAV

The U.S. Navy awarded Northrop Grumman Systems of San Diego, Calif., a $64.3million modification (#P00011) to a previously-awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00019-18-C-1009) toexercise options for operations and maintenance services in support of the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance -Demonstrator (BAMS-D) Program, including logistics and sustaining engineering support. The BAMS-D is asurveillance UAV technology demonstrator, based on the RQ-4, carrying a number of long-range radar andelectro-optical sensors to perform C4ISR operations. This contract is believed to cover the platform and itssensors, such as the ZPY-3 MFAS radar.
