Submarine support across the DLoD

As operator of the UK's submarine support facilities, Babcock is the strategic support partner for the Royal Navy's submarine flotilla. Helping the MoD to ensure submarine availability for Royal Naval deployment and to maintain the continuous at-sea deterrent is a huge endeavour, and involves contribution from Babcock in a number of areas across the Defence Lines of Development (DLoD) spectrum to support the MoD in delivering coherent military capability.rnThe management and execution of fleet time engineering and deep maintenance activities at Clyde and Devonport for legacy and future submarines is perhaps Babcock's best known role, along with various Holistic Engineering Support Services (HESS) contracts to maintain vital equipment and systems. Also within this DLoD, Babcock contributes with input to design, delivery and supportability of future submarine capabilities, and at end-of-life with submarine disposals.
