It is fair to say that Labour's 13 years in office have left their mark on UK defence, establishing a legacy that objective observers would say needs remedial work at the very least.In September, DMJ attended the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool and settled down in a hotel lobby by the Mersey to speak to Gemma Doyle MP, Shadow Minister for Defence Personnel, Welfare and Veterans and one of the members of the Commons Armed Forces Bill Committee, responsible for a line-by-line check on the legislation, including its proposals, for the Armed Forces Covenant.
