The British Army's Watchkeeper tactical unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) procurement provides UK land forces with an all-weather, network-enabled ISTAR capability, which will be interoperable with the US Network Centric Warfare (NCW) System, and NATO standard data links and image transfers. The procurement involves delivery of some 54 aircraft, as well as containerised ground stations and support systems, all of which are designed to be air transportable in a C-130.
