Finding a true multipurpose terrain car is not a difficult task as this type of car has been manufactured in Eastern Poland for the past 15 years - called the HONKER. For the last two years, the DZT Tyminscy Company, located in Lublin, Poland, has been the owner of the factory fabricating these vehicles. Among its many applications, the HONKER (model 2000) is specifically designed for military transportation tasks. It is an all-terrain, high-mobility car for multiple destinations, and it meets the requirements of many various military formations - firstly as a tough and simple in-service patrol vehicle for the transportation of soldiers, and secondly as a basic carrier for many special structures. As a haulage vehicle, the HONKER provides, depending on version, transportation for two to nine soldiers with equipment, the carrying of loads and operates in areas of poor road conditions. It has wide applications in the Polish Army, such as in radiolocation, engineering services and command carriage.
