Brit Bombing

After New York (2001) and Madrid (2004), terrorists attacked a third major city in the West, London on July 7th, 2005. Around seven near-simultaneous bomb blasts at four separate sites, three in the city's subway system and one in a packed double-decker bus killed more than 55, injured more than 700, disrupted life of millions of commuters of London and scared millions around the world. These explosions were the loudest announcement that War on Terror has many milestones to cross before reaching its declared destination. This bombing by UK's homegrown Muslims terrorists of Pakistani descent was the third major experience of the First World of terrorist attacks. This experience is almost a daily routine in the Third World in many places like Iraq and Palestine. Whatever is happening in Iraq, killing of innocent civilians by terrorists in London deserves strongest condemnation. Hours after, this horrible tragedy Tony Blair's statement that "the terrorists" act in the name of Islam but most Muslims worldwide "deplore this act of terrorism" holds hope and many lessons, especially for Pakistanis.
