The sun's golden orb sank into the Arabian Sea on December 31, 2005, heralding the beginning of a new year. 2005 is no more, all that remains are memories, mostly bitter ones. As we say goodbye to the year that was, let us say 'good riddance' as well. The year was filled of human tragedies and natural disasters all over the world, often on unprecedented scales that almost 90000 people die. Just a few days before the last new year set in, on December 26, 2004 to be precise, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and India were battered by the Indian Ocean tsunami that resulted in more than 230000 either being killed or missing.
