At last our government realized that the nation is in peril with the rise of 'religious ideology' based terrorism that challenged the Bangladeshi liberal society more than ever before. If the dimension of this psychological warfare was not understood or comprehended by the government with earlier indications, then the 14 November 05 semi-suicidal attacks in Jhalakati that killed two judges came as the rudest shock. The attack not only shook the government's base but rocked the. entire nation. If that attack was not enough, the classical twin suicidal attacks in Chittagong and Gazipur districts, 40 Kms from Dhaka, numbed the entire nation.
