The recent CTIA Wireless 2011 convention in Orlando attracted hundreds of vendors that showed off their latest products and technologies. Here are a few highlights from the show floor. Jake Sigal, founder of Livio Radio, introduces the Kit, a Bluetooth car/mobile Internet radio solution that accesses that accesses thousands of radio stations (1). Kit retails for $100. The free version of the app accesses about 300 Internet radio stations, while the $4.99 lifetime app accesses 45,000. "Consumers want three things with their mobile devices in the car: hands-free control; the ability to charge their phone; and access to lots of music," Sigal said. "We do all of that." Xavier Marchant, CEO of Supertooth, with the new Disco (MSRP $149), a 28 watt Bluetooth speaker system that streams music from a mobile device (3). Until 2010, the company marketed its products under the BlueAnt wireless brand. Supertooth is looking to expand its retail penetration.
