For most of us, the end of another academic year is upon us, and our thoughts now turn to summer activities and research projects from which the crush of classes, grading, committee work and so forth has kept us. The end of the academic year also brings about transition. At the school that employs one of us, the end of the year marks it is the completion of another year of Senior Project, as the student teams close out and hand over their consulting projects to clients. As with a substantial number of MIS programs, our job placement rate (if not necessarily enrollment) is pretty good, and it's satisfying hearing from our graduating Seniors as they describe the opportunities they are finding in the field for which we have prepared them.
