Dairygold back on track after a bumper year

Dairygold is already looking ahead to a post-quota world after one of its best years yet. The Irish co-op, which has undergone painful restructuring in recent years, made an operating profit on its core activities of €18.9 million last year, up from €11.8m in 2009. And this was before share trading activities generated a further €7.3m. Turnover was €693.6m, up €138.4m from the previous year.
