A lighter variant of Davidstow cheddar from UK dairy company Dairy Crest is now available with 30% less total fat. The launch of Davidstow Lighter coincides with the Food Standards' Agency campaign to encourage consumers into reducing their saturated fat intake. Dairy Crest states that Davidstow Lighter can be used by consumers in the same way as a standard cheddar and exhibits a rich, Cornish flavour.
