Trade: the way forward

In these impossible economic times, international trade is the best way forward for most businesses. It would provide a great boost to the global economy if the long running Doha talks could be concluded, but this seems impossible. However, there are signs that countries are willing to make concessions even though Pascal Lamy, director-general of the World Trade Organization (WTO), criticizes countries for not moving fast enough. The WTO is working to try to get some 'tangible progress' - in particular to facilitate trade between developing and the least developed countries (LDCs).
