Packaging Automation tray sealers at Foodex

At Foodex 2014, Packaging Automation will be exhibiting a range of electric flexible tray sealers to seal film, foil or board lids to trays. The machines cater to the needs of food producers from artisan to multi-national with production speeds from 15 to 150 packs per minute. All of the machines have low energy requirements due to the removal of pneumatic components, eliminating 90% of the running costs when compared to conventional pneumatic tray sealers. However, the seal force delivered provides improved seal quality compared to that achieved with a pneumatic seal cylinder. At the top end of the range, a brand new electric machine is being launched at the show that offers the highest throughput in flexible tray sealing in the market at 150 packs per minute single lane.
