Germany's bright organic milk

While conventional milk prices fall into a seemingly bottomless pit, producer prices for organic milk this year in Germany have slightly increased. Ecological dairy farms currently receive a national average of €0.479 per litre of organic milk. "Organic milk is very much in demand, so we can keep the price of our dairy farmers stable. The distance above the conventional milk price is now 20 cents per litre - a historic high," according to Gerald Wehde, spokesman of the ecological farmer's organisation, Bioland.
