New bottle technology from Competek

A greener bottle without changing the entire production line or modifying the bottle design is now possible due to Competek. The French company, created by the collaboration between two organisations, PET Engineering and COMEP, has launched a service that makes it possible to produce a light-weight bottle with saving up to 1g for the 0.5 litre bottle and 2g for a 1.5-litre bottle, thereby reducing the amount of materials used, requiring less energy for blow moulding, saving energy overall and minimising the impact of the packaging on the environment.
