One unique feature of the Elecraft KX2 and KX3 transceivers is the ability to both view decoded RTTY, PSK, and CW signals and to transmit those modes without the need of a computer or keyboard. The radios do a very good job of decoding but only display eight characters at a time. Text quickly scrolls off the display. The KX 2nd Look provides you with an inexpensive extended 80-character display (Photo A). This is very useful for the faster modes of RTTY and PSK (especially PSK63). The KX 2nd Look is per fect for field use such as ARRL Field Day, SOTA and POT A. It requires no computer and only 5 volts DC.
