摘要

The AVS-F (Amplitude-Time Spectrometry of the Sun) instrument [1] is intended to search for the features of hard X-ray and gamma-ray fluxes from the Sun, solar flares, and other nonstationary processes. The experiment was performed as part of the international program CORONAS (Complex Orbital Near-Earth Observations of the Active Sun) onboard the specialized automatic CORONAS-F station, which was successfully launched on July 31, 2001. The spacecraft orbit had the following parameters: altitude ~500 km, inclination ~82.5°, and orbital period ~90 min. The CORONAS-F experiment was intended to study solar flares, but the large field of view of the detectors of the AVS-F instrument (~2π steradian) also allowed this instrument to be used for the recording of GRB (Gamma-Ray Bursts). The CORONAS-F satellite has stopped its operation on December 6, 2005.
