The consultation process on proposed changes to the Construction Plant Competence Scheme has finished. The feedback in the training community has indicated controversy. Loss of business: it is only natural training providers fear for their livelihoods. The trouble is the majority have relied on CPCS-experienced worker assessments as their major source of income, as opposed to real training, such as foundation training or NVQs for plant operators.
