As we move towards a carbon economy in which CO_2 is assigned a financial value, giving an incentive to reduce emissions, clienrs are looking for ways to minimise the carbon associated with building, upgrading and operating their assets.rnUnder the UK Climate Change Act, companies will start trading carbon from April 2010. For the first three years it will be possible to buy unlimited carbon credits at a fixed price.rnAfter that time, limits will be applied and credits will be auc-tioned.The UK Government is chasing an 80 per cent carbon equivalent reduction on 1990 greenhouse gas emissions levels within the next 40 years.
