Last week, Construction News took a trip through the 1990-91 recession and concluded that the current recession is going to be worse. Bleaker. Deeper. Longer. It's all too easy to get tunnel vision. Although the economy looks worse than it did then - and the Construction Products Association estimates it could take until 2020 for activity to recover to its 2008 levels - similarities between the situations could offer comfort, not least for those working in infrastructure.
