MoD shelves ￡l50m redevelopment of barracks

The Ministry of Defence has shelved the redevelopment project at its Beacon Barracks in Stafford even though the ￡150 million main contract is already in procurement.rnAn MoD spokesman told Construction News that the Army's Borona programme - as part of which the 7 and 16 Signal Regiments will be relocated from Germany to the Stafford barracks -had been delayed, and that as a result Defence Estates had deferred procurement of the contract.
