Just two contractors remain in the running for the £100 million contract to build a new city centre campus for Birmingham City University.rnBam Construct and Sir Robert McAlpine are understood to have made the second tender stage, which will see them submit more detailed bids for the construction of the first phase of the new development.rnMiller, Laing O'Rourke and Shepherd are believed to have missed out after making the shortlist of five initially invited to tender for the contract, worth between £50m and £100m.
